Sometimes I blog about strange foods on this site but don't get me wrong. I adore food. And I even bake - usually scones but also cakes and buns. I also like to cook and have learned a number of new dishes here in the Czech Republic. That's why I find this website/community so compelling - Food Connect.

Food Connect is a place that you can share recipes, offer your reviews of various wines, drinks and foods and generally interact with other 'foodies'. You can also list our food events there as a member for free and I was rather amused to find an event listed as a 'pie eating contest' along with the instruction to "Stuff Your Face with Pies!".

The site features all kinds of goodies including food-related news and recipes ranging from breads & Pizza to full deserts. You'll find me browsing the full deserts section though I'm afraid. The site features complete community-type functionality including the ability to interact with other members, invite your friends and so forth.

You'll find me hanging out there and who knows - maybe I'll submit my scones recipe....
