Readers Digest has it seems been around forever. I recall first seeing it when I was a child in the Doctor's waiting room. I always went straight to the jokes and cartoons section of the small magazine. Of course, today, Readers Digest also has a presence on the web and there you can find those cartoons, jokes and anecdotes along with more modern features such as comic videos and more. I think the thing that I always enjoyed about RD was the cartoons. They were always well drawn and often hilarious. Funny Cartoons are difficult to come up with and so I have always been impressed with cartoonists for that reason. Regular readers of this blog will know I am no fan of global warming which is why I find this cartoon funny.

Readers Digest is one of those magazines that simply seems to have been there forever. The everlasting nature of RD owes a lot to the cartoons and jokes but also to the stories in the magazine that truly reflect on ordinary everyday life as well as provide hope that things can always be better. Yes - I do have a soft spot for Readers Digest.
