So this was the week when Bigfoot once again made the news. But is it a hoax or is it real? Apparently DNA results point to a hoax returning mixed results of human and opossum! Gosh though it would be nice if something like that could be found.

I kind of want to believe in things like Bigfoot, Nessie and UFO's but it seems rather like wanting to believe in Santa Klaus - a kid's tale. Now, if you told me George Bush was back on the booze I could believe that! Doing a search for more updates on the Bigfoot story I came across Yeti footprints discovered in the snow by an Everest expedition, the possible discover of Chupacabra - an animal that sucks blood along the US-Mexico border. Strange that the Chupacabra story - only a few weeks old - bears such a resemblance to the Bigfoot story with an animals corpse in a freezer?

What I don't understand is why folks would do these hoax things except perhaps for a few moments in the media they end up looking like idiots liars and cheats. Anyone any ideas?

Meanwhile, I'm still prepared to be proved wrong but I do not see how an animal like Bigfoot could elude humans for so long? And why wasn't it just two ordinary hikers that found the supposed corpse as opposed to people who make a living on promoting the myth?
