Apparently Brazilian police were shocked to learn that a man they pulled over for speeding already owed close to $2 million in unpaid speeding fines. The fines had been accumulated over a period of 7-years but as he had not registered his car he had never received any mailed tickets. His offences included speeding and running red lights. But - No - He wasn't a BMW driver.

His car worth around $6500 was impounded and if he doesn't pay his fines within 7-days, it will be auctioned off!

The mind can and does play tricks on us all of the time. It sees things that aren't there and misses things that are. Don't agree?

It's a well meaning logo in reality but at first site one wonders how anyone in their marketing department could have determined that this was a good logo to use....

Well has the whole world gone mad? The financial meltdown is created by us panicking and it is now almost a self fulfilling prophecy and it is truly frightening. In times like this historically wars have followed.

Who is to blame? I think we all are frankly. Easy loans, easy credit. Go out and live a great life on your credit card. But if you really look hard isn't that the US lifestyle that has been gradually exported over the years. The US has been literally bankrupt for decades with its huge balance of payment negatives - where was all that money coming from? Banks. They gave out money to anyone wanting it in the form of loans, mortgages and more as we all tried to have the American Dream which now looks increasingly like a bloody nightmare.

The most widely read and popular post on this site is about high heels and a woman's sex life so apparently there is interest in high heels out there. Well, here is some bad news.... a British designer has introduced high heels without heels!

Is it just me or does Hull City AFC manager Phil Brown actually look a lot like House actor Hugh Laurie? To me they look like twins...

I came in this morning feeling like I hadn't yet woken up only to be faced by more bad news as markets tumble - it's Armageddon out there right now. As I open my email - more bad news and delays followed by conference calls in which I am caught out by unexpected questions and feel like I am stumbling around in a daze of confusion. Yep - its a bad day at the office.

Bad days make me stressed. I can feel it in my head - its a dizzy sort of feeling as my heart palpitates and my underarms feel moist. Suddenly, I cannot seem to function normally and, as a result, I make mistakes that compound the feelings of stress.

Sex on the Beach is some kind of alcoholic drink. I've never had one so I don't have a clue as to what is in it. In Dubai however, sex on the beach cost one British couple three months in jail, a fine and deportation. I'm not surprised. The Brits are notorious for their drunken antics overseas and that stiff upper lip decorum that Brits were so well known for at one time appears to have been replaced by a stiff something else...

The Brits are becoming about as welcome as American tourists these days making a nuisance of themselves all around because of their sheer inability to consume alcohol and keep their private parts private. I vote we rename that cocktail to Brits having sex on the Beach....

The HouseMartins, a UK pop band from Hull who had a number of hits a couple of decades ago, have been proclaimed true prophets by Hull City manager Phil Brown. Brown, was referring to their hit Album which proclaimed 'London 0 Hull 4' and prophesied Hull City's string of Premier League victories over London clubs, Arsenal, Spurs, Fulham and recently, West Ham.

The HouseMartins are now expected to re-form in order to monopolize their new found status as true Prophets.....

It's hard to browse the internet and not read all of the conspiracy theories out there but I for one am beginning to wonder.... the evidence that 911 was an inside job continues to accumulate and I somehow believe that the current financial crisis is somewhat convenient too.

Guy Ritchie apparently thinks Madonna should dress her age... I agree. In the UK we have an expression that is used to refer to older women who dress much younger...mutton dressed as lamb. Madonna is clearly in great shape from a fitness point of view but she looks stupid dressed like a young tart. She also looks old frankly and worn around the edges.

I'll admit that don't like Madonna. Ambitious, pushy and egotistical. What has she really contributed to the world?? Certainly not more than the average anonymous mother her age. Indeed, I hate superstars that come believe their own PR and behave rather stupidly as a result....
